An Teallach

19 April 2003. A long afternoon walk-in from Gruinard with a heavy rucksack took me onto the east ridge of Beinn Dearg Beag by early evening, north of, and ~100m above Loch Toll an Lochain. Just enough flat grass to pitch a tent and an excellent spot to watch the sun go down on the SW face of An Teallach across Loch na Sealga. In the distance on the right is Beinn Dearg (Ullapool). Shenavall bothy is just a black dot in this image, but in contrast to my campsite it was a busy place. Close up review of some of my photos shows a group of about 4 people standing at the south end of the bothy, presumably enjoying the evening sunshine. There are also a handful of tents to the south and east of the bothy.
