North onto Sron Riach

11:14 on Saturday 12th December 2009. After an early start by bike at
the Linn of Dee, where the temperature was -9°C, I eventually broke
through the cloud layer on the slopes of Sron Riach where the
temperature was significantly warmer. This stitched image shows cloud
sitting in the Lairig Ghru, over the Cairn a Mhaim ridge, and cloud
welling up in Coire Sputan Dearg. Two people whom I had overtaken
shortly before parking the bike in Glen Luibeg, and again at the river
crossing at the foot of Sron Riach can just be seen making their way
ahead of me up Sron Riach. The highest point on Coire Sputan Dearg
cliffs is just showing bright white above Sron Riach.
