It's amazing just how quickly the Scottish weather can change. Just two days previously, Ben Loyal didn't have a speck of snow and was basking in warm sunshine (see thumbnail 2-up). The day prior to the above photo, the weather started to take a turn for the worse with low cloud and winds gusting to 50mph on the summit.
